And Charles and Ray Eames really rocked it. Literally as this chair shows, more than ever. The image shows an early example, with the highly sought-after “rope edge” shell made by Eames’ collaborator Zenith Plastics only for the first year of production. Spotted this wonderful item at the Sam Kaufmann Gallery. Check them out online, it is really worth it. My tip: Do not look to deep into the price tags, just study a bit and get prepared for your next flea market tour.
