I met the two charming designer Hanna Litwin and Romin Heide from “Büro Famos” on the design fair Blickfang in Stuttgart and was immediately impressed by their products. Particularly by the wall panel PIL. It has a folding shelf, which can be extended an then used e.g. as a jewelry board.
The designers aim is to create smart solutions to organize small urban spaces. They explain that foldable or convertible furniture is a way to deal with this. PIL series consists of wall-attached panels made from an appealing combination of materials.
For me, it is a very cool combination of a beautiful design with a great practical component. Keys, coins or gloves and other bits and bobs can be left on the shelf and alltogether makes a good impression.
I particularly like the 50ties quote of the Cross cutting in the mirror combined with the bold red lipstick color for the shelf. Well done, dear Büro Famos, now you just need to start selling the item because my entrance already waits for it!
More about the two designers here and hopefully soon on Designisti.
